It's starting to feel like..

My favorite time of year, football season and Fall!!! I absolutely love this time of year it's my favorite. Just got back from taking abby to the park and we had a blast, perfect temperature, cool breeze, and watched a beautiful sunset. Thats one thing I love about our new place, we are kinda in Trinity (the country) so out our window is nothing but fields and a pretty view, so at the park the sunset was awesome. We had fun..she chased me around, I chased her back, we blew bubbles, did some swinging, and rock climbing. It's a perfect park for her age and i'm going to try to take her every other day if not everyday, as long as it stays cool like tonight was. Wanted to take pictures so bad though, hopefully we can buy a new camera pretty soon. So anyways, a little update on abby. She is doing much better at daycare and has made a few friends that she talks about ALL the time, it is SO cute. Now naptime is a different story, abby likes to sit up and talk to her friends which gets her in trouble, haha so we're still working on that. She is also completely potty trained now, no accidents so far. YAY! Goodbye pullups. She is becoming such a big girl.. it's crazy. Always saying the smartest things, it's really amazing to watch her develope. The other day I was telling her that Nana was coming over, and then she took off running in the living room. So I leaned out in the hallway and heard her tell Gerald, "your mom is coming daddy," I was like did she really just say that?? Haha it cracked me up, Abby is just hilarious. I've had her going around saying "warrrr eagle..... hey!" haha so we're all ready for kickoff this weekend, can't wait!

So there it is, not much, but perfect for us and we're loving it.We have enjoyed our first weekend in our new place, tomorrow were are going to take Abby down to the apartment complex's park, I know we will get good use out of it! Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

New Place

I haven't wrote in a while so I thought I would update on whats going on. We moved into our own apartment this past week, and we are loving it. It sure was a hard move though, THREE stories up = what where we thinking? Haha but it was well worth it now, feels really good to just be on our own now. We moved out on the other side of town near Trinity in a place called Wheeler Estates. Gerald started working for Superior Lawncare and i'm still at the daycare, looking for a second job though. Oh and I also pushed my classes back to Spring semester. I hated to do it at first, but everyone told me that was best, and i'm glad I did because I don't think I could've made it to class right now.. maybe once I get a car. (I will never ever take a car for granted once I get one btw, it sucks not having one.) Back to the apartment though, everything is coming together nicely, it's starting to feel homey and we love it! Maybe I will post pictures soon. Tonight I think we are taking Abby to see the Decatur vs. Austin game. It's been a while since me and gerald have been to a game so it should be fun, plus Abby is going to love seeing the cheerleaders stunt, and the band play!!

I'll try to post more on that this weekend :)

When it rains it poors..

This hasn't been the best weekend for us, we found out my mom was diagnosed with cancer this Monday. It is in her kidney which is a better place to have it, not that any place is good, but she can eventually have it removed if the radiation doesn't work. We don't have the best relationship but I do love and care about her, she's my mom, and i'm praying she gets better and starts to take care of herself. Maybe I can convince her into taking a nutrition class, crossing my fingers. Also found out she is moving into a friends house in the next week or two (because she won't be able to work as much to pay for her house and bills). Which leaves us with no where to go because Gerald is unemployeed right now. Like I said when it rainds it poors.. we lost jock, mom has cancer, and having to move.. haha crazyness. So basically we have been trying to figure a LOT out this weekend. Please keep her in your prayers though, whoever is reading this.

Jock Newsom ;)

Today was a sad day. We sold our one and a half year old blue pitbull/other child. He was the BEST dog in the world I don't care what people say about pits but he was pure kindness. The reason we sold him is because we are going to move to an apartment in the future and we can't take him with us. Plus Gerald and I will both be working and going to school so we just won't be able to provide the love, attention, and excersize he really needs. His new owner is super great for him though! He works at a place that builds things for rockets, he's a dj, and a cake maker also I think. He has a family and another female dog, with a nice house, and back yard. I am so happy for Jock, and we will be keeping touch with him through facebook (thank God for social networking sites). It was really sad to see him go though, Abby was pitiful she just put her little head in her hands and said "byebye jocky boy i'll miss you".

He will be dearly missed, my heart is aching, but at the same time I know its best for him and our family. We have some of the best memories with that dog and i'm glad we were able to raise him up to be a good dog. Jock definately gives pitbulls a better rep :)

August again, already???

I can't believe that it's been almost a year since last August, I mean it seems like just yesterday we were at Gerald's sisters wedding? Crazy how time flies by once your out of highschool and busy trying to decide what to do with your life - i'm like slow down it's going to be over before i decide haha! jk. Well I am still working at the daycare, Abby was starting to do good last week. However, I took her today and she went crazy. It makes me so sad because she just isn't use to being told what to do by people other than our family. I'm not judging the teachers at all i'm just saying. I know it just confuses her and breaks her heart, and it does mine too. It is a pretty stressful job, and honestly i'm really not liking it :( I have eight one and a half to two year olds, I think that speaks for itself. Once you get them all to sit down to watch a movie, one pops up dragging out toys, or one hits someone, so you have to sit them in time out, then when you turn around another one is climbing on something so you go get them, then when you turn back around the one in time out is climbing on something, then before you know it the whole class is going crazy and not listening. Needless to say I come home with a headache everyday, no joke. Don't get me wrong I love kids, i'm even thinking about changing my major to elementary education, but two year olds, fiesty ones at that, are not my cup of tea. I'm trying my best to stick it out though, pray for me!! I give props to all the daycare teachers out there, it's challenging. Sorry for venting if anyone is reading this i'm sure you are bored out of your mind. I'm reading a book called "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff" and i'm not suppose to be venting haha, oops. That book is great though, it kinda helps me get through the days at the daycare.

As for now we decided to come stay the night at Gerald's parents to get a break from my moms house, his parents are out of town. Me and Abby just got out of the pool now we are about to go watch the Bachelor Pad, well I am she will probably go to bed. Gerald should be home soon from playing basketball, can't wait to relax before another day of crazyness :)

I have some bummer news for us though, well it's not so bad I guess. Anyways, I wrote a past post about maybe pushing the wedding back, and we have decided to do that. Not sure when the new date is going to be, whatever fits right into our schedule.. maybe winter, spring, or early summer? Not sure yet, but we are so busy right now trying to get our life on track that we are just kidding ourselves thinking that our wedding planning would be finished by October. So we decided on that today. I'm bummed, but it makes since and it's the best thing to do for our family.

Our day will come :)

Hottest Summer EVER

I say that because i'm typing this as i'm sitting on our front porch (the only play we get WiFi). It is 8pm and this heat is absolutely crazy!! I feel like I start sweating the moment I step out the door, gross. Plus it doesn't really help too much that our air conditioner in the house doesn't work perfectly. Anyways, enough about that.. I got a new job the other day. I will be working in the infant room at Kids Central. I'm so excited about this because it is the perfect job for me while i'm going to college, Abby can even come to work with me which is SO great! I can't wait to feed the little babies, rock them, and play with them.. gonna LOVE it! I am going to miss working at Shine Salon though, that was a really fun experience and I will always go there to get my haircut from now on. haha. So yeah, I start my new job in like two weeks, or less, hopefully less. I'm definately gonna take advantage of this freedom and last little bit of Summer! Also my financial aide for school was approved, so it has been a very good week for me.

Took Abs swimming at Gerald's parents today, we were all wrinkly when we got out from staying in so long, but she had fun like always. Tomorrow morning we are going to take our engagement pictures.. that makes me smile big :) I have been wanting to do this for over 2 years now. I love pretty scenic pictures.. & I think we are going to some cool places, including a sunflower field!

Summer Days Ending So Soon :(

 for it to all flip under the same way, she loves to have it done though :)

There isn't too much going on right now, just working and trying to savage every last day of summer. It has gone by so fast :( Now on to the stressful time of year - starting school, hopefully gerald will start a great job opportunity soon, plus getting everything done for the wedding. Can't wait for the wedding part though (if we could just get everything planned haha) only THREE months to go, AH makes my mind race and things to do! We truly haven't gotten a thing done, hope we don't have to move our date again, I would be one extremely angry girl -just kidding ;) Truly though, we shouldn't have to post pone it because we are having the smallest wedding ever. Neither one of us want anything big, just simple and sweet. Ceremony (100 or less people), simple flowers, and a small reception with finger foods, cake, beer, and music... not too much right? Thats what I keep telling myself, but nothing seems to be getting accomplished hahaha! We do actually have a venue for the ceremony, bridesmaids dresses picked out, a DJ, & a FREE photgrapher checked off of our list. Yes I said free, I have a friend thats an aspiring photographer and she offered to do our wedding/engagement pictures for free for her portfolio (I guess thats what its for). Anyways, we are so thankful, and plus she takes beautifullll pics! You can check out her blog here. We are going to take our engagement pictures this Sunday, can't wait!!

So thats basically whats going on in our life right now, praying everything falls into place in the next three months :) I'll be posting again soon!

Big-Girl Haircut!

I took Abby to my work today (which i'm loving btw) to get her first real big-girl haircut! She was so excited to go. My cousin Katie came along and we stopped by this boutique next door to my work. They have the cutest kids clothes/accessories and even furniture.. can't think of the name but I could've seriously bought the store out so we didn't stay long. As we were leaving Abby told the employee there "be right back i'm going to get my hair cut".. (she didn't even know her and we weren't coming right back haha). Anyways, she was pretty good while getting her hair done, but she became very shy all of a sudden and didn't speak to any of the people I work with of course.. but thats okay i'm just glad she didn't have a nervous breakdown! Kinda missing the sweet litte baby curls, but i'm hoping to get over that in a few days ;) Although I must say I think her hair is really cute, short, but cute!
