White Christmas

I couldn't believe it when we woke up to it snowing on Christmas morning! My first one ever and the most snow i've seen for sure, it was beautiful! Abby was sooo excited when she saw the snow and all the presents from Santa. It really was so fun to watch her open them up this year. She is one blessed and loved girl.. everyone got her so much stuff! Me and Gerald were up until 3am that night re-decorating/organizing her room.

Some other of her favorite gifts were...Justin Beiber (the one that sings), a kitchen with all kinds of food and appliances, vtec laptop, doll house, baby alive, barbie dolls, dress up stuff, jewelry & jewelry box, a princess tent (she loves this), puzzle rug, and some more toys/clothes. Her room is full haha, we will be having a yard sale when it warms up thats for sure!

Gerald got me a diamond necklace, with earrings, and a mini laptop (I made him take the laptop back though so I could get some clothes). Our parents got us some good gifts too that we loved. We got two cameras that were the same from my mom and his parents lol, so we took them back to exchange for a nice one. Which means I can start posting more pictures and videos soon, yay!! Well i'm going to get off here and get to bed. Overall I loved all of our gifts and it was a great Christmas, we are so blessed. Can't wait for the new year :)

Merry Christmas Eve-Eve!!

Abby is SO excited about Santa, I think this age (basically 3) is my favorite so far! She is going to be too much fun to watch =)

We sold Gerald's truck today, Merry Christmas to us! We were so excited at first but have had a hard time finding a good car worth the asking price. We have been looking alllll week and so far have had no luck. They are either priced way over their value or out of state. Hopefully we won't be driving out of state and will have better luck tomorrow. Starting to stress out about not having one to get to Christmas with our families, ahh that would be horrible! I still can't believe this year is almost over, it has passed by so fast. The beltline here looks like Birmingham traffic, haha well not that bad but it still sucks. Wal-mart and the mall were so PACKED tonight. I don't see why people wait so late to get caught up in that crowd, never will I ever...(knock on wood). lol Merry Christmas Eve-eve!

Yes! Our apartment faces a field with not alot of homes so we can usually see them.

Nope today has been exciting..so proud of Gerald :)

More job application, story of my life right now.

"Centurian" -I love movies about ancient times, and it was really good!

Sadly i've never been to a concert, or sports game (other than high school). haha Gerald always says "What did you do when you were younger?" hahaha and I just say I have no clue.

To win the lottery..haha but I guess thats not really a secret. Yes, I do have some secret wishes, but they wouldn't be secret if I answered this question.

My fiance, lord yes I am the most emotional person I know that is on of my biggest flaws, sorry Gerald!

Um Italy?? It's too hard to pick one, I want to visit so many places.

I miss Italian food, so any place like that sounds good. Don't think I will be eating out any time soon though lol.

Mmm. I guess ending up alone? my mom was a single mom so guess thats where that comes from.

I like to attempt to play tennis, and tumble.. not really a sporty person though

I don't really like the rain. Unless I have nothing to do and can stay inside at just watch..while dry.

Engaged..for 3 years lol!

Christmas is coming!!

So I've been reading a lot of good blogs here lately, in between applying for jobs which I do every day now. Praying someone hires me soon. Anyways, most of the girls do "Wordless Wednesday"..you only post pictures and try not to write much of anything. Their blogs are so pretty to look at because of the pictures they post, we'll see how I do at this. Today was not so good, I couldn't find any good photos & I hope I don't get in trouble for copying those off of google =/ Next time i'll copy & paste the source.

A little over a week until Christmas, and i'm so not ready this year! Ahh! Then a month after that is Abby's birthday. I can't believe she is almost THREE, where has time gone???

Here is a funny thing I overheard tonight from the living room:
Gerald: Whats wrong are you bored Abby?
Abby: Yes.
Gerald: Lol.You don't know what bored is! Whats bored?
Abby: Cereal.

Haha it made me smile, gotta love kids and the things they say :)

On a positive note I am soooo proud of Gerald for something that he did today. (It's a secret and i'll post more on it at the right time.) I'm so excited for him and the opportunity ahead of him. Be praying for him please! Hope everyone is safe driving around tomorrow in this horrible and icy weather. Me and Abby are going to my aunts to help her with some things and do a little shopping, not looking forward to getting out in the cold though!

Guilty

Yep i'm guilty...I am a huge fan of vampire books/movies/tv shows. lol. It started with Twilight of course and more recently i'm obesessed (thats an understatment) with The House of Night series. These books are definitely on my Christmas list ;)



Heisman, Snow, & Tattoos.

Once again this week...WAR EAGLE!!!!
I think his speech could of been a lil' bit better, but hey mine definately would've been way worse infront of the whole nation. It was still pretty sweet. As long as he keeps playing football like he does I guess it doesn't really matter :) I'm so proud of the state (not university) of Alabama's football!

Today is Sunday, we woke up to it snowing outside our window, it was beautiful. I don't really want to post this picture because it doesn't do it justice at all. You can't even see the snow falling, but it was taken on my cell so I can't complain. The snow was really pretty to see though & Abby loved it!

She loved doing this & wants one everyday now.

Just realised I hadn't posted on how excited I am that Auburn won the SEC Championship AND is going to the NC as #1 in the nation, can't wait! WDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chicken -n- Dressing

We made this for dinner tonight...well Gerald did and I shredded the chicken and prepared the eggs ;)

It was our first time to ever make it so we were expecting it to taste awful, but it didn't! It was delicious. We love dressing and usually only have it during holidays. Abby on the other hand took one bite and spit it out. She said, "Eww its nasty there is something in it." :)

Beiber Fever

Abby is singing Justin Beiber's song Pray that she sings ALL the time, she definitely as "Beiber Fever". It's not the right lyrics she made her own. Pretty sure this is what she is saying "I close my eyes and I pray, I close my eyes and can barely see."

Only 16 days until Christmas? This year sure has flown by!

It's been a month..

I haven't posted since Halloween, which seems like only yesterday, where has November gone?? Really there hasn't been anything going on though and without a camera I'm not a good blogger at all. As soon as I get one I'm going to have to start putting posting some Abby updates. We did go to the beach so here are some pictures from that:

So anyways, Thanksgiving wasn't the quite same this year, just a lot smaller and less eventful. Gerald had a kidney stone so me and Abby went over to my aunts and ate with her, my mom, and my grandmother. Everyone else couldn't make it this year, the food was really good though! Then that Friday was the IRON BOWL. Best/craziest game ever, Auburn was down 24-0 and came back in the second half. It was awesome, me and Gerald watched it at home with Abby, paced around the living room like crazy! Can't wait for the SEC Championship this weekend, WAR EAGLE!!

Saturday we went to his great-grandmother's funeral, it was very very touching, heard SO many great things about her. Abby came with us and got to see everyone which was fun for her! This week we got some bad news about Gerald's kidney stones, he is having surgery this Wednesday to remove it, so please keep him in your prayers, hopefully this will be the last surgery he will have for those things (he had one last year also). I'll post again soon :)

Trick-or-Treat

Halloween was a lot of fun, and Abby did great! Well, before it got dark Gerald's sisters took her to a few houses and a guy opened the door in a scary mask! They said she started crying and wouldn't let them sit her down or go up to any more houses! When it got dark me and Gerald took her around his parents neighborhood and it took her a while to warm up but she did fine. Every time we saw a scary costume, she would get close to us and just stare at it while we passed by haha! She would say "trick-or-treat, thank you!" We even saw one of her friends from school, the little girl just kept screaming "abby, abby, theres abby mommy." Then they hugged each other..it was so cute, she is really growing up :) :( 

Over all she had a lot of fun! Point Mallard was madness though, here is a picture I stole from his sisters blog (Actually stole all of these because I didn't get any of the night, lol sorry Christen.)

This picture was taken before 6pm..so you can imagine how much more packed it got. Lots of cops! We had a hard time getting Abby to keep her place in line, older kids would just rush up in front of her. Seems like everyone in Decatur trick-or-treats there. It was lots of fun though! Well thats about it, now on to the holidays, can't wait!!

First Zoo Trip

Abby went to the zoo a while back this summer and I forgot to post about it. (or at least I think I didn't..lol probably should of double checked.) Anyway, Gerald's sister, Tasha, and her husband took her with their two kids. I was just looking through pictures on my facebook and decided to add this memory to my blog for her to see one day. So here are some pictures of her FIRST zoo trip!!

Tonight is hallows eve & Auburn is still #1 9-0. Auburn (aka Cam Newton) just keeps amazing me! I believe we will make it to the national championship, and of course win. Can't wait to see! I'll post on our fun trick-or-treating tomorrow night soon!!!

Chuckie Cheese

Last night we took Abby to Chuckie Cheese for the first time. She was SO excited when we pulled up. Not going to lie we kinda were too, wish we had a Dave & Busters in Decatur. So we got some tokens to play some games & of course let her ride in the Chuckie car that takes your picture (I think every kid has had there picture taken in that car, including me). She really loved getting the tickets and putting them in her purse. I'm glad we waited until now to take her because there were only a few games she could do, but it was just enough for her, any younger and she would of been bored. After playing the games we let her go in the play place. Mistake. She could barely get up in it which was pretty funny, but once she was up there, she was up there. There were older kids going crazy, sliding before she could even get a chance. So miss Abby decides to give up and climb out in the little tunnel and crack up laughing when we told her to come down. She thought it was hilarious that we couldn't get her. It was pretty funny at first.....but eventually the other kids slowed down and she came down the slide laughing :) The tickets only won her a airhead and pop rocks, but she was more than satisfied with that. I'd say it was a good time and can't wait to take her back!

Abby's Room

Abby is getting a new bed for Christmas and comforter. So I figured i'd just go ahead and redecorate her room into a "semi-big girl room" and i'm doing a owl theme with lots of learning pictures. Hopefully even with a bookshelf and tiny table if I can find one reasonably priced. I also made little laminated color/shape posters to hang up around her room. I really would love to find a small map, dry erase/cork board/chalkboard, and kids painting table too. Ha ha can you tell the list can go on, and on!? So if anyone runs across one of those items please let me know :)

I'm not getting those pieces of furniture or whole bedding set exactly, i'm just basing it off of those. Maybe just even getting bits and pieces of the bedding with those cute stuffed animal owls. Let me know what you think?


Also I just got back from the Applebaum Childcare seminar and I have a few ideas for a cheap present to get Abby for Christmas this year (this is for family of course). I'm not forcing anyone to get her anything I just figured this was a pretty cheap gift that she would get good use from. I know my mom always would rather me tell her what we want her to have rather than getting something she wouldn't use very long. So anyways, Abby doesn't have many learning things right now and after going to the childcare seminar i'm  DYING for her room to be labeled with learning words, learning pictures, good books, fun learning songs, etc.

War Eagle!!

My favorite month!

I haven't posted in a while, there hasn't been much to talk about really. Me and Abby go to work Mon-Friday (well school for her) and come home to be lazy, or some days go for a jog and to the playground. Other than that not too much excitement around here ha ha, times are rough. I'm sure almost everyone can relate in some way right now. Today is the beginning of October which makes me really happy, I love this month, really just this time of year! So many fun things to do with family & friends. Anyways, Abby is growing up so much. She loves school and it is teaching her a lot, they now doing "Your Baby Can Read." When she first started we had to pry her off of me, now she runs right in without even hugging me. Sometimes i'm bummed when that happens! I'm glad she has made friends though and she has such an imagination, she loves playing school when she gets home. The other day she said "I'm Mrs. Nicole" (her teachers name) "this is my class." It cracked me up! There is never a dull day with Abby, I need to start writing the funny things she says down. Well we're off to work/school, today is Friday..but tomorrow i'm going to Birmingham to the Galleria  for childcare classes that we are required to have so really tomorrow is my Friday!

Football Saturday again..

Time is flying by, I really need to start posting more this is beginning to get a bit boring. I could also call out some other bloggers names too..*coughcough* Christen, and Rio.. haha just kidding, I know ya'll are busy, busy! So anyways, today is gameday so, WAR EAGLE! All we do in our home on Saturdays this time of year is watch football. Kinda boring for us girls, unless Auburn is playing. So we try to keep ourselves occupied by doing fun things, or here lately being crafty. I'm trying to learn how do stuff like make bows, and just cute projects. Maybe soon I can learn to make shirts and outfits for Abby! Sewing machine and a Cricket are definately on my Christmas list... mom are you reading this?? ;) I love the blog FlyThroughOurWindow, she is awesome and thats where i'm learning to make bows.

Well thats all I have for now.. other than this funny story that happened this morning. Abby was eating breakfast while watching GameDay talk about the Auburn game. As they were going off she let out a big "wooohooo" *while shaking her fist in the air like her daddy does sometimes* It was so funny, then she noticed me and got embarassed..haha she makes me laugh :)

War Eagle!!

This weekend we watched the first game of Auburn's football season at our apartment with some friends!

                                              

The sunset was pretty, plus it was Auburn colors :) Most of the pics are blurry, sorry I know. I didn't get any of Gerald either :( Oh well he had fun too I promise! Sunday we went fishing out at this cool subdivision called the Farm. It has a huge stocked pond, playground, ducks, walking track, and basketball court. I love that place, I caught the most fish & Abby loved the ducks!

That night we went to see DJ Hollywood preform at Maria Bonitas with some friends!

Our Labor Day was spent being as lazy as possible, its was awesome, hope yours was great too.
