A Beautiful January Day

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day. Crazy to think that they were predicting snow this past week. Somehow the weather always ends up being nice on Abby's birthday. I remember on her very first birthday we all sat out on Gerald's parents back porch and opened her presents. Seems like it was yesterday, and here we are three years later.

I think it actually got up to the middle 60's here today, but I'm hoping the rain holds off tomorrow. I can't wait to get this cake out of my fridge and dig into it. It's taking me alot of self-control not to grab one of the cupcakes everytime I open the fridge, it's all I smell. Thank God tomorrow is the partaaay :)

School

I realised a few weeks ago that I haven't been able to post any pictures of Abby in her class at school. So today at work I tried to catch a few pictures, although they aren't the best.



Now for a couple of pictures of my class..

I love being back at the daycare, even if it is hard. Some people would disagree, but don't judge until you've done it ;) Dealing with other peoples children is a lot harder that is seems, especially five to seven at a time, lol. I really do enjoy my job though, even if they are biting/hitting each other most of the time (i'm just kidding)!!

School is going good too, and I'm really loving it. I've survived my first week and a half so far, woo hoo ;)

I have also decided what I want to be which is a CRNA, and I'm really focused on it. First I have to just focus on get my RN for Calhoun and BSN from UAH, which will take four years *sigh*. I know it is going to be hard, I may not make good enough grades (not likely), and I may want to quit and give up. However, I have spent hours, days, and nights thinking about becoming a Nurse Anesthetist. So I am so determined to stay focused. I know I've got a long road ahead of me, like five years plus two to three years of anesthesia school. I can do this though, it will pay off in the end. I will still be in my twenties when I finish, so hey not so bad right?! Oh and by the way, Gerald is starting school this summer, and he is going for the SAME thing. Have we lost our minds? lol. Nope I think we are making the best decision of our life thus far!

Abby's birthday party is THIS Sunday, and I think I'm more excited than she is ;)

First Day

Today was Abby's first day back at the daycare. She didn't cry and was happy to go back. I'm really excited she is back too, developing her social skills lol. I am so mad I didn't get a picture though, got to remember that tomorrow! I am happy to be back working too, sitting at home without a job gets boring after a few days, and it had been two months for me. However this winter storm really didn't help me out on the money situation for this week. Snow is pretty and all for a day or two, but the south is just not prepared for it. Seriously. When is it going to melt? All the snowmans are STILL up, and our parking lot is so icy that we can just skate on it. Basically, I'm already wishing for Springtime :)

Btw..only 2 weeks and 3 days until Abby is THREE....where did time go? I mean really I have a three year old?? lol so, so, so crazy.........BUT I love her so, so, so much :)

Blizzard of 1993 Repeat?

The weather man says we will be getting 4 to 8 inches of snow tonight through tomorrow!! It just started not too long ago and it has already covereddd the ground, it is coming down so hard. Hope they are right! I would be perfectly happy with 4 inches, but 8?? I would be acting like a little kid out there lol. They have closed school and my work down for tomorrow. It was suppose to be my first day back to work and my first day of school, so in a way i'm bummed but then again i'm not complaining :)

I have decided to start school to be a nurse and i'm so excited to be working towards a career. I'm just taking night classes this semester and only taking two, monday-thursday so I can kind of get use to it. I'm going to go every semester, even summer, so I can finish as soon as possible. Wishing I would've started a long time ago though and could seriously kick myself for not doing that. It seems like its going to be so hard right now, and it will, but I am going to stay very focused and it will pay off. "Your only 19, it would be dumb not to do this now," is what I keep saying to myself..and its true. However, literally a couple of hours after I registered for classes, my old director at Kids Central called offering me a job back. I couldn't turn it down and i'm so thankful, just feeling very overwhelmed right now lol. I have a lot of support from my mom and Gerald though so it will be fine, he is actually going to start school this summer too. We are going to be super busy for a few years!

Well the snow is coming down REALLY hard now. It is so pretty! Can't wait to post pictures of how much we get :) National Championship is tomorrow, a huge plus about my class being canceled, WAR CAM EAGLE!!
