Painting.

Abby is getting a "big girl room". Seriously, the baby bed is down =(. Including all of the furniture, I am starting from scratch! My aunt kim made her a DIY cloth headboard to go above a twin size frame/mattress (still working on that though). Today I painted an ugly glass picture frame with chalkboard paint. That stuff is so cool, and I also painted her new drawers!!

So that previous pic, is a picture of the overall progess so far on her room. Can you tell I just started today? The other side is so empty right now. Her new bookshelf will be here tomorrow, and the bed in the next week or so. There is still so much to do, like pictures, paintings, etc. Here are a couple more pics of some wood I just painted on for fun, but they turned out being kinda cute.

New Schedule

A lot has changed around our household here lately. Recently Gerald was hired on to work for Southern Cable, and I am so excited for him! So I am now sitting at home being a "stay home mommy". My days consist of watching The Little Mermaid and The Carebears mutiple times per day, every single day (btw which is not helping on getting a bikini ready body lol). We need some more children movies asap! I do not plan on Abby watching TV everyday for long at all, but I have had school work to do here lately. We did get out and go for a walk at Adventure Park the other day, and afterwards Abby played in the sand. She said it was like the beach...boy did I wish it was really the beach! School is going great and I am doing very well in my classes. I know thats silly to get excited about considering this is just my first semester (easy stuff), but I am very happy! I met with an advisor this week to kind of get a schedule of what to take each semester. If all of my grades go well, and I pass every class with hopefully an A, or B (definitely striving for all A's though). Then I will be done with my classes by Spring 2012, and eligibal to appy for the Fall 2012 nursing progam. This really excited me and I have an extra boost of encouragment to make straight A's. Please pray that I do well, this means a lot to me =)

Anyways, since I have had some free time on my hands around school, I have decide to learn how to french braid. It is something I have always wanted to learn. This site on youtube is helping me A LOT!

"I'm Your Baby Mommy"

I don't have anything exciting to share right now because work and school has taken over my life. I am not complaining though. Although, I do feel bad sometimes because I have to study so much, and it is a big change for me. So sometimes it kind of feels like I'm neglecting Gerald and Abbygirl. I can't wait for him to start school this summer so we can study together, maybe that will help my problem lol. I try my best to spend every second I can with them, but it's getting hard now that test/essays are becoming more frequent. We had a snow day yesterday, and I definetely needed it. I am pretty tired of the snow, but it gave me extra time to do some cleaning and studying. Once again I felt like I was ignoring my family while studying, but then Abby came up to me, and she MADE my day! She hugged my leg, and said "You're amazing Mommy, you're the best Mommy in the whole world, I'm your baby mommy" :) I was seriously shocked, and it made me so happy just to hear her say that. Abby is the sweetest little girl I know, and I am so thankful to have her cheer me up like that.

Here is a picture after she said that, I had to capture it because she was being SO sweet! She is still in her pj's since we were having a lazy snow day.

I just wanted to share that so I can always remember, and look back when I'm having a bad day. =)

Here are some pictures from Abby's party!!

The story behind this sad face. I lit the candle without thinking to tell her to wait to blow it out. So Abby blows it straight out before everyone got to sing Happy Birthday. So I lit it again and everyone sang, but Abby was not too happy. I think we scared her the poor girl. Oops! Totally mommy's fault, but she was over it as soon as she took a bite ;)

Another Birthday!!

It's hard to beleive three years ago we were in the hospital having our little girl at 6:03 pm. She was nine pounds and twenty one and a half inches long. Basically, a BIG girl. I remember it so clearly. When she first entered the world I was SO scared because she would not cry, and she was a purple-blueish color. So instead of placing her on my belly like you see on TLC, they took her over to a table. The nurses did their thing for a few minutes (hours it seemed like), and tada I heard my LOUD (veryvery loud) little girls cry!!!

February 1st, 2008

She is such a blessing and is so loved. I truly am happy that she has a FULL family that loves her because thats all you ever need in life and thats all I prayed for her while I was pregnant. So thanks you Gerald for being a great Daddy. Thank you to everyone else that loves her just as much as we do!



We had her a birthday party at The Play Place in the mall. She had a blast, and I will post some pictures as soon as I can steal them from other people. Haha. They were all running around too fast for my poor little camera.
